Sadly I missed the Suffolk and Essex and Colchester Autumn shows, and the National Show due to the fact that I was away at university Lowestoft and Great Yarmouth Spring Show 2015 (15th January) This was the first time that I had shown at this show, however I had been before to steward for a judge, which helped me gain valuable experience for when I judge shows myself. I was able to chat to the judge after he had finished, and he explained why he had put my birds in that order, and what I should concentrate on when breeding this year. I was able to take all 4 hens that I have, and my young cockerel, so it was a fairly large show for me!
I wasn't able to show at Suffolk and Essex this spring due to the fact that I was judging the show. (10th January) After a much drier Christmas (thankfully!) my birds were in a good condition ready for the shows. I only took Lincoln to this show, and I won a cup! It was for the best bird that is owned by a lady, and the bird must be the opposite sex to the show champion. A great start to the year!
